I've added the Focal Twin6 be's to the studio's monitoring arsenal. These guys are capable of resolving the finest detail and have power to spare all resulting in a better tracking and mixing environment.
An excellent song from the PTTS boys, this one was tracked live with a few overdubs and highlights the steam roller of a ride this band is capable of.
Congrats to Middle Sister for their Best Album nod for 'Cries Of The Wild' in the Windsor Independent magazine's 'Best Of' readers poll. Some of the best Windsor musicians created this gem with my help here at the Sharktank. If you haven't heard it, get yourself a copy.

Michael Beinhorn who's credits include Soundgarden, Ozzy Osborne, RHCP and Herbie Hancock, lays out the ground work for making a record today.
These common sense suggestions should guide your project to a successful conclusion.
'Modern recording budgets are generally smaller and hover in the low five figure range. Many are artist-financed or patron-financed productions and often, don’t even involve record labels.'

What do the Black Crowes, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Papa Roach, Velvet Revolver and AC/DC have in common?
This guy.
Bredan O'Brien is a busy producer, check out this interview with him discussing how he got started and his views on the studio.
I agree with and practice his philosophy's on every record I work on.
I call it studio smart.

Did you know? The electric guitar on my new single "What's a Girl to Do" is played by no other than Mark Plancke, king of Sharktank Productions? PlusKay Oh Chay on keys and vox, Michael Sugar Authier on drums and vox and me on the bass. And vox. Check it out at NorthwoodRecords.com and all the usual digital music places.
Middle Sister's 'Cries Of The Wild' debuts at #4 on St. Johns CHMR and is charting all across the country. A nice start out of the gate for this great Windsor band.
I absolutely love listening to music on vinyl. It’s a exhilarating experience which other formats can’t come close. From the art work, the act of playing a record, to the sound vinyl has few rivals.
Vinyl sales are on the rise. This is a good thing and bodes well for an industry that is struggling to redefine itself in this age of rampant downloading and blah sounding MP3’s.

I always suspected that music stimulated the brain in different ways from regular life. It turns out musicians get an even larger brain boost from playing music.
I always knew that Windsor was a great place for creatives to hang.
Now a lot more people will know.

Happy New Year, we’re looking forward to a productive year at The Tank and we’re hoping you’ll hop on board for the best year yet.
Dusty Danunzio, Jim McCarty and Mark Plancke
The one and only Jim McCarty dropped by the studio to lay some guitar tracks down on the new Rustbelt Revelators track.
Jim was a primary member of many of the Detroit area’s greatest bands, including The Rockets, Cactus and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. He’s recorded with the like of Jimmy Hendrix and Bob Seger.
We’re honored to have Jim in The Tank laying down some bad assed guitar.
